Things have been rather... sporatic since my last post.

It's been both an eventful and an uneventful week thus far.

First the eventful stuff. I got my marks back from Acadia. Not a bad set of marks. All but two of my marks for the year fall between B- and B+. The only exceptions are a C+ and an A+ so it's all good.

I also did some movieing and hanging out with my friends which is always an entertaining way to spend one's time. Went to the theatre with Granger and BC to see Identity which was a pretty cool movie. Also rented and watched The Waterboy last night (also with Granger and BC). I was a little hesistant of the movie going in but it proved to be a fairly entertaining way to spend an hour and a half.

In other news, I went to the doctor's re: my stomach thing and a more recent throat/fever thing (the fever lead to some interesting feeling realy, really cold and having fever-dreams too!). Got meds for both but the meds may not take care of the stomach thing so on May 21st I get the excitement of a stomach x-ray combined with the excitement of a gall bladder ultrasound! Oh and my stomach pills (Prevacid) are like a hot pink/black combo. Probably the most vibrant looking pills have ever been prescribed. :P

Later the same day as doctor trip day (or Monday for those not in the know), I got back to the Y. It felt good to be able to go to a real gym with real facilities, not the sorry excuse for stuff they have at Acadia. Unfortunately, due to the transportation issues I'll mostly only be able to get to the gym every other day (until/unless I get a job in the area).

On the job front, things have been less eventful. I was supposed to hear about the YMCA camp job by Wednesday but as of now, still no word. I sent an e-mail out to the camp co-ordinator this morning but she hasn't responded to it yet either. Hopefully she's just been really busy as I'd like to get that job. If I don't though, I'm sure I can find something else (and even if I can't I have a guaranteed well-paying job open to me if I want it anyway).

Then we get into the even more uneventful stuff. Most of the time I'm here I'm fairly bored. It seems like there are really only 3 things to do (read, play on the computer, or watch TV). Most of the time I want to watch the TV my sister has it too. You wouldn't think there'd be much difference from being here and being at our old place but that extra 5 mins into the boonies really makes things seem much more dull. There's nothing out here other than houses. There used to be a convience store about a few mins away but it went out of business a few years back and now the closest store is in Pictou. I'm sure I'll eventually get used to the added sense of isolation but for now, it's really weighing on me. I'm just glad I've got access to a car and friends I can go do stuff with, otherwise I'd go completely stir-crazy in this house.

Speaking of stir-crazy, I feel the need to go get a drink of water. Not so much for the water, more just to give myself a chance to move around.

Quilted Porcupine, a-cooped up!
