The Quilted Cave

Ramblings from everyone's favorite quilted super-hero.

I had another media tie in related dream last night and it was even more bizarre than usual. It alternating between me playing a video game and being in said game. For some reason which was either not explained or not remembered when I woke up a bunch of videogame heroes were grouped together to take on a bunch of video game villians in what was to be the ultimate showdown between good and evil.

Unfortunately I only remember a handful of the characters but there was Mario (leading the good guys for some reason), Samus, and Luke Skywalker on the good team in addition to MANY others. I only remember two of the villians but there were just as many of them as there were heroes. One of the villians I recall is Darth Vader (he's been in many games as has Luke (oh and they both had a ship. Luke had an X-wing while Vader had the Deathstar. Not exactly an even match)). The other was revealed in highly dramatic fashion as a big swerve.

I wish I remember more the dream as the battles were actually pretty neat with strategies and counter strategies. The strategies may have been really stupid in real life (I can't remember any specific strategy) but they seemed really clever in the dream.

The big climax of the battle saw Mario (who actually didn't really look like Mario at all but that was who he was supposed to be at least) returning to the good guy base to find it empty. The villians were attacking the base and had recruited a massive army at some point. There was some talk between Mario and the lead villians and then they revealed a surprise. Luigi came diving into the room and began shooting green fireballs at Mario. It even did the go into slow motion as he was diving thing to add to the later hilarity.

At this point a handful of the heroes showed up to save Mario but they were still VASTLY outnumbered. I don't know what happened after that but things were not looking good for the side of light.

This is when Homer received a coupon book from Bart. As indicated by Homer's singing Homer seems to have confused colonics with colodas.
